‘The Significance of It All‘ will be performed by the staff band at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Twin Lake, Michigan on July 4th, 2014. The concert will take place at 7:15PM at the Stewart Music Shell under the baton of Dr. Wesley Broadnax.

The piece will be for brass choir and organ and they have requested that it be based on a standard hymn of the season. I found out today that ‘Battle Angelis‘ is officially on the North Carolina Bandmasters Association list for acceptable pieces for festival for 2009-2010. They’ve declared it a grade 5 difficulty. I hope the groups that have selected this work enjoy performing the piece. Today while looking at a music catalog I was a little surprised to see a note next to ‘Battle Angelis‘ in their listings. Upon further investigation, this means that ‘Battle Angelis’ is an approved piece for grade 4 festival competition in the state of Virginia. |
