Wonderful Premiere of ‘The Significance of It All’ by Jeffrey J. Jones and the Wayne State University Wind Symphony

I want to thank Jeffrey J. Jones, the Wayne State University Wind Symphony, and Dr. Douglas Bianchi for their wonderful preparation and performance of my work ‘The Significance of It All‘! It was a great privilege to work with Jones and the group and I am quite honored by the great performance! A special thanks is due to the audience as well who braved the awful winter weather that evening as well.

Redesigned website is now live!

After some research into some different tools, I’ve decide to reorganize and update the appearance of my website. I hope to keep it better up-to-date with all that is going on. It’s not completely finished, so more areas will be filled out as time permits. There are a lot of projects in the works and I can’t wait to share them as they come closer to completion.

Battle Angelis Appears on the North Carolina Bandmasters Association Festival List

I found out today that ‘Battle Angelis‘ is officially on the North Carolina Bandmasters Association list for acceptable pieces for festival for 2009-2010. They’ve declared it a grade 5 difficulty. I hope the groups that have selected this work enjoy performing the piece.

Battle Angelis is on the 2007 Virginia Festival List

Today while looking at a music catalog I was a little surprised to see a note next to ‘Battle Angelis‘ in their listings. Upon further investigation, this means that ‘Battle Angelis’ is an approved piece for grade 4 festival competition in the state of Virginia.

Terrific performance of ‘Light’ via Rutgers Wind Ensemble

Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the November 16th performance of ‘Light’; however, I just received a recording from the director and professor of music at Rutgers, Dr. William Berz, and I have to say that the work and craftsmanship put into this piece is quite outstanding. I will be adding the recording to my archive of recordings immediately. I would also like to thank the Rutgers Wind Ensemble and Dr. Berz for such a fine rendition of my piece.
